Support Worker – Colchester

Forest Homecare is recruiting Support Workers to join our Colchester team. No experience is necessary as full paid training is provided. As a Support Worker, you will need to have a professional, caring, and flexible approach.

Your main duties will include:

  • The role of Support Worker will involve supporting individuals with a wide range of activities including access to vocational, educational and social activities.
  • Supporting with home related tasks as well as general day to day activities as required by the service user in order to meet their desired outcomes and needs
  • In addition to this, some of the individuals that we support may require assistance and prompting with aspects of their personal care.
  • Visits can range from 30 minutes to several hours depending on the Client’s needs and requirements. In addition to this, some of the people we support require sleep in duties overnight.

Experience:

This role is varied, and every day is different, so being adaptable, and using your common sense and initiative are a ‘must’ for this role. You do not need to have worked as a Support Worker before applying to us, but all experience in this field will help. As well, those who have worked in any hospitality, customer service, or retail sector, as many transferrable skills can be utilized in this field.

Forest Homecare is committed to ongoing training and supervision, qualifications, and continuing professional development. We also provide an extensive induction on the commencement of employment. Therefore, experience is not essential, just a willingness to learn and implement all necessary skills for the safety and well-being of the service users.
